Communications and Reminders from Reed

Required New Student Trainings

Hello Student,

Greetings from the Office of Student Life! We are excited to welcome you to campus.

This email contains links to three  that you are required to complete before you arrive at Reed. These trainings cover topics related to alcohol use and abuse, interpersonal violence (sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking), bystander intervention, and hazing.

These modules were designed to increase your ability to identify and challenge harmful and discriminatory behaviors. They are intended to build critical self-awareness skills, drive systemic cultural analysis, and increase the capacity of our community to intervene in potentially harmful scenarios.

In order to receive credit, you must complete all of the modules by August 21—the Friday before Orientation starts. In total, they should take about two hours to complete. When you arrive on campus this August, we will further this learning together in various in-person sessions.
